Tayberries are the large, sweet fruits of a shrub patented in 1979 as a cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry and named after the River Tay in Scotland.

This small but mighty fruit reflects its cross. Related to gooseberries it has the appearance of a blackcurrant; sweet and sharp, it is full of flavour. Deep purple in colour, with a lovely set, I recommend this jam as a new flavour for all the family to enjoy!

A dark and rich berry which is a hybrid between the raspberry and blackberry. Also related to the tayberry, though it is not as sweet.
